RAM (Memory)

For memory I will make it really easy and just recommend this stuff

Corsair XMS2

I run 4GB of this very same stuff in my machine and it's awesome (and cheap)

Hard Drives

GPU Icon If money is no object get yourself 2x 150GB WD Raptor X drives, these are just about the fastest desktop drives money can buy. Set them up in a RAID 0 array and watch your loading times become a thing of the past! The only issue I have with the Raptor X drives is the amount of noise they produce (especially with Vista). However they are spinning at 10000RPM. Due to the Raptors size limitations, you would need another drive for storage such as a 500GB Sata II.

150GB WD Raptor X - Fastest Desktop Hard Drive

500GB WD Caviar SE16 - Great for storage

In the real world, I would recommend this drive, (or 2 if you have the funds)

320GB WD Caviar SE16 - Bargain SATAII Storage

PSU (Power Supply)

This is an often overlooked component, but it is essential that you get the most powerful you can afford, especially if you are running a high end video card. For the likes of the 8800GTX you willl need around 600 Watts, if you run 2X 8800GTX cards you would need 800-1000Watts.

600Watt

1000 Watt

750Watt

DVDRW

Optical drives are all pretty much as good as each other, I would recommend this one.

LG SATA DVDRW

PC TOWER CASE

Finally, which type of case to go for?

I would recommend anything by, Coolermaster, Antec, Thermaltake Lian Li. I have included a few links to some of the best cases available below

Coolermaster Stacker (BLACK)
Coolermaster Stacker (SILVER)

Zalaman Z Machine

Antec 900 Awesome gaming case

Antec P180

Antec p182 Had one of these and can highly recommend.

I think that covers just about everything, if you have any questions or need an opinion on any components, just let us know.
